The Warriors proved once again why they are one of the premier programs in Class 1A volleyball, capturing their second consecutive District 3 championship with a 3–0 sweep over Ephrata Mennonite by scores of 25–18, 25–23, and 25–18.
With the victory, Linville Hill remains undefeated at 23–0 and advances to the PIAA State Tournament, where they will face the District 6 runner-up in the opening round once the winner is announced. The championship atmosphere inside the gym was electric, highlighted by Linville’s “Secret Service” theme, which set the tone for a night of intensity and focus. The Warriors’ senior hitters brought heavy swings at the net, testing The Legend’s defense throughout the match. Despite Linville’s power, the Legend’s defensive play was spot on, forcing long rallies and keeping the Warriors on their toes throughout the match. The first set saw Linville pulled ahead late behind aggressive kills and senior leadership. The second set was a back-and-forth battle, with Ephrata Mennonite nearly seizing the momentum before the Warriors closed it out in dramatic fashion. The third set featured one of the defining moments of the night a remarkable diving save by #17, shifting the momentum back to Linville Hill and energizing the crowd as the Warriors closed out the match. This championship game marked the third meeting of the season between the Warriors and the Legends, and once again, it lived up to its reputation. Every encounter between these two powerhouse teams has carried the weight and energy of a title match.
Whats Next: With back-to-back district titles, a Commonwealth Christian Athletic Conference Title and an unblemished record, Linville now turns its focus toward the PIAA State Tournament, looking to extend their historic run and bring another banner home!
