The Linville Hill Warriors saw their incredible postseason journey come to an end Tuesday night, falling to the Tri-Valley Bulldogs in the PIAA State Semifinals. The Bulldogs took the match in four sets: 25–22, 26–24, 4–25, 25–20.
The opening two sets were battles from start to finish. Linville traded points with Tri Valley throughout both sets, but the Bulldogs found just enough late momentum to escape with 25–22 and 26–24 victories.
Facing elimination for only the second time this year, the Warriors responded with one of their most dominant and memorable performances of the entire year. Linville completely controlled set three, overpowering Tri Valley in a commanding 25–4 win. Their serving pressure, defense, and overall energy swung all momentum squarely in the Warriors favor.
Set four remained tight as Linville fought to force a decisive fifth set, but Tri Valley closed the match with a late push, taking the final set 25–20 and advancing to the state finals.
A Season Worth Celebrating
Though the semifinal loss ends their run, the Warriors put together one of the most memorable seasons in program history. Their list of accomplishments is nothing short of remarkable:
